Cookies Recipes For Kids

Almond Cookies

Ingredients:
2 tbsp flour
2 cups chopped almonds
2 egg whites
1 cup brown sugar

Method:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Grease the cookie sheets.
Whip egg whites until stiff. Fold in brown sugar, flour and chopped almonds, Stir lightly.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets and bake for about 30 minutes.

Coconut Cookies

Ingredients:
80 GMS. Flour
40 GMS. Butter
1/4 tsp. Baking powder
50 GMS. Powder sugar
40 GMS. Desiccated coconut
2 1/2 tbsp. Water/Milk
Few drops Vanilla essence

Method:
Sieve flour, soda and baking powder.
Cream the butter and sugar very well. Now add flour and desiccated coconut, vanilla essence and make a soft dough with milk/water.
Roll the dough into a square butter paper and chill it till hard. (Do not freeze)
Bake at 175 C till done.

Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup white sugar
2/3 cup honey
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Method:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Measure all ingredients into a large bowl.
Beat at medium speed until well mixed, occasionally scraping bowl.
Shape dough into 1 1/2 inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on cookie sheets.
Dip a fork into flour and press deeply across top of each cookie; repeat in opposite direction.
Bake for 15 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
Store in tightly covered container.

Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter
2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 cup sour milk
4 cup flour
1 tsp. Vanilla

Method:
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time.
Beat well, dissolve soda in milk.
Sift baking powder and flour; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour milk.
Add vanilla; chill. Roll until very thin on lightly floured pastry cloth.
Cut with cookie cutters, sprinkle with sugar and bake at 350�F 8-10 mins until very lightly browned.
